2020 Theme: The Time Is NOW To Do What Is Right
26th Anniversary Celebration


Continuing the format from the 2019 United We Walk event, United We Walk will present a short program in the West Bloomfield High School's entrance Atrium that will be recorded live on Civic Center TV.

Volunteer opportunities have been conducted throughout the year to honor the 2020 theme. Participants will help the less fortunate in the community by volunteering to assist Grace Centers of Hope.


2:15 p.m. - GATHER
Event participants may gather in the West Bloomfield High School atrium at front entrance to the school for a short program in atrium and Walk down Orchard Lake Road.

3:00 p.m. - WALK
Walk Down Orchard Lake Road - Please bring your banner and wear layered, warm clothing for Walk. WBHS Winter Drumline will lead the Walk: Noah Dyer and Chris Vilag, Directors

Access to West Bloomfield High School during the Walk
Orchard Lake Road will be temporarily closed by the West Bloomfield Police Department to conduct the Walk from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm. If you plan to walk (or volunteer), please arrive at West Bloomfield High School by 2:30 pm. Orchard Lake Road will reopen after the Walk.

If you can only arrive during the walk (between 3:00 pm and 3:30 pm), take Green Road north from Walnut Lake Road. Green Road will allow drivers to come directly into the West Bloomfield High School parking lot at the traffic light.

COMPLIMENTARY REFRESHENTS & HAND-ONS COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT
Complimentary Refreshments Served in West Bloomfield High School Atrium after the Walk
sponsored by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Iota Rho Lambda Chapter, Oakland County Chapter

United We Walk’s Hands-On (Child-Friendly) Community Service Project to Benefit Grace Centers of Hope including pillow making, making greeting cards for Grace Centers of Hope residents, collecting donated: canned goods, men’s disposable razors, undergarments for boys, girls, women and men plus toilet tissue. All activities will take place in the West Bloomfield High School Atrium in the front entrance to the school after the Walk.

NOTE: Please bring your donations of canned goods, men’s disposable razors, undergarments for boys, girls, women and men plus toilet tissue to United We Walk 2020 for Grace Centers of Hope.
